IPL SKIN REJUVENATION

  • Hands and Arms Rejuvenation £140

IPL skin rejuvenation is a non-invasive skincare procedure that uses high-powered pulses of light to improve the appearance of the skin. This procedure also treats common skin concerns such as acne, wrinkles, scarring, dark spots, unsightly veins or broken capillaries.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation can be used to treat any part of your body.  It is designed to help to significantly improve skin tone and texture while reducing visible signs of ageing.

This treatment is great for treating skin lesions that are very common and benign (non-cancerous), the list includes:

  • Port Wine Stains: Is a type of vascular birthmark caused by abnormal development of blood vessels in the skin. A port-wine stain is sometimes referred to as a capillary malformation. This can appear anywhere on the body and it looks like a flat, red or purple mark on the skin that is usually present at birth. The port-wine stain may become thicker and darken over time.
  • Spider Angioma: also known as spider naevus or spider telangiectasia, is a vascular lesion characterized by a collection of small, dilated blood vessels clustered very close to the surface of the skin. The lesion contains a central, red spot and reddish extensions which radiate outward like a spider’s web.
  • Cherry Angioma: Red moles, or cherry angiomas, are common skin growths that can develop in most areas of your body. They’re usually found in people aged 30 and older. Angiomas are benign tumors that result from an overgrowth of capillaries (small blood vessels) which give them a reddish appearance.
  • Haemangioma: A haemangioma is a collection of small blood vessels that form a lump under the skin. They’re sometimes called ‘strawberry marks’ because the surface of a haemangioma can look like the surface of a strawberry. Superficial Haemangioma is typically a raised, bright red area of skin and can feel quite warm to touch because the abnormal blood vessels are close to the surface.
  • Facial Telangiectasias:  are dilated vessels or broken capillaries that appear superficially in the dermis mostly on the alae nasi.
  • Periocular Vessel: Are smaller blood vessels that can be found around the eye area and these can appear as red or blue veins.
  • Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness and visible broken blood vessels on your face. This can typically appear on the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin

We provide the best vascular lesion treatment at our clinic. If you struggle with any of these skin lesions, our Savant specialists will be able to target these specific areas and permanently remove vascular lesions from the skin.

What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation is one of the most effective methods of treating skin damage in a non-invasive way. IPL is not a laser, but a broad wavelength light that is pulsed onto the skin. It can treat many conditions at the same time, from ageing to birthmarks.

For Rosacea, IPL uses wavelengths to absorb Oxyhaemoglobin found in the blood, causing redness. The heat from the IPL destroys capillaries, causing rosacea. Results can vary, 3-6 treatments may be required at least every 4 weeks.

How Do Skin Rejuvenation Treatments Work?

The Ellipse Laser/ SWT Skin Rejuvenation Facial Treatment rejuvenates the skin by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals – Melanin in the pigmented areas and Haemoglobin in the red blood cells. Both these pigments convert the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored, and to damage the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the areas where vascular damage is seen.

The visible light produced by the Ellipse Laser/ SWT system is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and the right amount of energy. This will destroy the targets without damaging surrounding tissue, providing skin rejuvenation.

This is a quick and simple treatment that does not interfere with your normal daily routine and currently offers the best anti-ageing skin treatment around. Not only will you experience first-class treatment, but you’ll experience this in the comfortable and tranquil setting of our clinic. You’ll feel miles away from the busy London streets in our Kings Cross oasis where you can book in for multiple spa and clinic treatments if you have the time.

Who Can Be Treated at our Skin Rejuvenation Clinic?

The best results from skin rejuvenation treatment are seen with clients of skin types 1-3, with and skin type 4 able to be treated with care. Don’t worry if you are not entirely sure which skin type you have, as our experts will advise you during your consultation.

It is important that our clients avoid sun exposure 30-60 days prior to treatment. Sun exposure can increase the risk of pains or burns from excessive light absorption in the epidermis. If you have a suntan, it may be better to wait until the colour reduces to achieve maximum results. The Ellipse has pre-programmed treatment suggestions for different skin types, so we will be able to personalise the treatment precisely for you.

HOW DOES IPL SKIN REJUVENATION TREATMENT WORK?

IPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment rejuvenates the skin by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper layer of skin. The visible light produced by the Ellipse Laser/ SWT system is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and the right amount of energy to stimulate the skin while boosting collagen production in the treated areas.  This will destroy the targeted pigmentation without damaging surrounding tissue

The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, promoting it to heal by itself by creating new cells. This new collagen restores the skin’s youthful look and feel. You will be left with a smoother skin tone, healthier complexion, and less visible sun damage.
